Armada Hardwood Flooring

Setting the course for fine Living

One of the finest features of genuine hardwood flooring is that each plank has its own distinctive grain and color. The new, Armada® Hardwood Flooring product line comes in a variety of wood species, stain colors and widths so that you can choose the wood that best complements the style you desire.

How to choose color:

Lighter colors (for example, maple, red oak natural and American cherry natural) are effective treatments for a clean, contemporary look. Darker tones (such as, dark stained oaks, American walnut, cherry spice and pecan) create a traditional elegant ambience.

How to choose plank width:

Narrow planks will make smaller living spaces appear larger while wider planks offer a more traditional appearance. Use narrow-width boards to visually expand a room. Wider boards typically work best in larger rooms.

Choosing Wood: oak, pecan, cherry, walnut, tigerwood, santos mahogany, amendoium, jequitiba, tauari, timborana, rosewood, teak, brazilian cherry, merbau, pine, jatoba, maple or beech? Armada offers it all.

While each plank is unique, in general, different wood species do have different grain and texture characteristics. Look for tighter grain in maple and pecan. walnut and oak have wider, more dramatic patterns contrasting between light and dark areas.

The changes in real wood that will come with time...

The patina of real wood flooring matures over time in keeping with the character of each species. This aging process is one of the hallmarks of a real wood floor. Cherry, for example, with its subtle grain pattern and natural color variations, will darken to a rich patina as it ages.
